Senior Strategist (London/remote) needed

£28k-£32k (subject to level of experience) + benefits
Join Earnest

Earnest is on a mission to chase out the humdrum in B2B marketing. We’re creative problem solvers with big ambitions – passionate about taking our clients’ brands and marketing to new heights.

We’re a multi-disciplined team, taking on a diversity of briefs across branding, proposition development, campaign and content planning to all things digital and experiential, always keen to bring that extra something to what we do. It’s been so good so far. We’ve gathered a talented team, picked up a surprising number of awards and have been able to count the likes of Vodafone, ASUS, Mitie and Mastercard amongst our clients.

You’ll love it if …

_ You get a kick out of learning new things, and have a genuine interest in how businesses make money.
_ You’re engaged in the world around you and keep up to date with current affairs.
_ You’re curious about human behaviour and why people talk and behave the way they do.
_ You love making a good argument for something.
_ You’re good at wordle a bit of a wordsmith, with a real appreciation for nuance.

What's the role?

We’re a B2B marketing and creative agency and we’re looking for a junior strategist to join our team.

What does B2B mean?
B2B means ‘business to business’ or ‘businesses selling to businesses’. Imagine a high street clothing store. That store needs software to keep track of stock, a security company to keep shoplifters out, and a bunch of other products and services to help them make and sell their clothes. We help those ‘behind-the-scenes’ companies talk about their brands and products to their customers.

What’s a strategist?
Strategists wear a few hats but in short it’ll be your job to balance the business side of marketing with the creative side. Every team looks to you to really understand the product we’re selling, the customer who’s buying it and the most creative way to get under their skin.

You can then use that knowledge to help every team do their job better: whether it’s designers creating an ad, the digital team deciding what social media to promote or the client services team selling a new piece of work. You’re basically the glue of the agency!

You may well be new to B2B and new to marketing, so you’ll have plenty of support from our tight knit strategy team. But it’s a role that rewards people who are keen on independence. Earnest isn’t a very hierarchical company, and you’ll be able to own your own projects as soon as you’ve got your head around the job.

Why Earnest?

Here’s a few reasons why you should pick Earnest:

_ There’s a big focus on people being good at their jobs AND nice, which means you’ll be working with a fun, lovely bunch
_ It’s an entrepreneurial company – if you have an idea for a campaign, a new Earnest service or even a new Earnest business, we’ll hear you out
_ We’ve got UK and US offices, so there’s an opportunity to work on American clients (and sneak in the odd New York trip)
_ The strategy team takes a huge interest in progression. We’ll work with you to set your 6-monthly goals, so you’re always on the right track for more skills, higher pay and fancier job titles!

Perks:

_ £200 culture budget a year to spend on subscriptions, theatres, galleries and the like
_ 20 days holiday + Birthday day off
_ Private health insurance
_ Cycle to Work scheme

Qualifications:

A-level / IB or higher

We look for that extra something that will add to the way we work together. That’s what helps us to be better people and a better agency.

We have offices in London and New York. This role is based out of our London office but going forward we will be operating with flexible working arrangements – there will be times when you may need to be in the office, but we’re open to you working remotely as little or often as you would like to.
