Earnest is an independent, creative marketing agency that was set up in Sept 2009. Since we opened for business, we’ve built brands, shaped strategies, produced content programmes, created experiences and developed campaigns that not only deliver results, but engage and delight their audiences too.

Based in central London near to fantastic transport links and great places to enjoy at lunch time and after work, we are a close-knit team of 35-40 people. Everyone gets stuck in so you’ll be with colleagues who are happy to lend a hand when you are under pressure. We all work hard and we laugh a lot too – although we’re very serious about giving our clients amazing service and the very best strategic and creative work.

Today we are pleased to work with Vodafone, Mastercard, WeWork, BMI, Gumtree and ADP among others – from our bases in London and New York.


About the role

This London-based role will be a varied one but will include the following:

  • Client care – welcoming, & looking after visitors on arrival at Earnest’s offices
  • Upkeep of meeting rooms
  • Events – organising and supporting internal teams on client events hosted in our offices
  • General support of the operations director
  • Ad hoc assistance to all areas of the business in admin, research etc
  • Couriers – booking couriers & managing deliveries
  • Managing stationery orders & supplies
  • Liaising with IT support on IT issues, ensuring printers are working & supplies are replenished
  • Catering – keeping staff kitchen stocked, ensuring meeting room fridges are replenished & organising catering (food & beverages) for client meetings
  • Organising internal office meetings
  • Keeping the office tidy & organising any maintenance or repairs
  • Some recruitment/HR support – including arranging interviews & managing freelancers

About you

As the first point of contact for visitors to Earnest’s offices, an important part of your job is to make every visitor’s experience a great one. The ideal candidate is proactive, outgoing, energetic, positive and a true people-person.

Many clients see trips to the agency as an enjoyable escape from their own more corporate surroundings. You’ll help to make them feel instantly relaxed and at home – making new visitors feel like special guests and greeting regulars like friends.

The other side to your role is to be Earnest’s “fixer” – looking after the smooth running of the office and therefore playing a crucial part in our team. You’ll be:

What’s it all about?

As an Account Manager, at any one time you’ll be expected to support the team in meeting (and exceeding) the expectations across our portfolio of clients. You’ll manage internal resources and budgets while ensuring that everything we produce is just right for the task at hand.

As a key point of contact, the Account Manager role is crucial to maintaining a flawless experience for our clients – something that’s absolutely fundamental to our success.


What you'll be up to

  • Liaising with clients on a daily basis, developing strong relationships
  • Taking briefs, briefing creative and planning teams
  • Writing contact reports, drafting timing plans, campaign reporting
  • Managing third party suppliers and partners
  • Aiding financial management of clients (estimating, quoting, invoicing)
  • Combining a client-centric, proactive approach with a willingness to go the extra mile
  • Help draft marketing proposals for campaigns, rebrands, digital projects – and be confident in understanding the process
  • Understand the full ‘marketing mix’ – e.g. digital, social, content marketing – and also partner agency skills eg media planning, PR, data management, search and research
  • Working as a team player in the agency and getting involved wherever needed
  • Simultaneously managing multiple projects

About you

  • Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience of managing client accounts within an agency
  • Administrative and project management excellence and the ability to multi-task
  • The ability to consult with clients and suppliers while assisting with enquiries in a professional, mature manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An appreciation for great creative work as well as a passion for marketing
  • A willingness to work hard and go the extra mile

What you'll be doing

  • Simultaneously managing multiple projects.

  • Help draft marketing proposals for campaigns, rebrands, digital projects – and be confident in understanding the process
  • Understand the full ‘marketing mix’ – eg digital, social, inbound, nurture principles – and also partner agency skills eg media planning, PR, data management, search and research
  • Confidence in helping more senior team members in delivering on strategic client briefs
  • Proactively thinking of ways to increase the scope of our work for existing clients (especially for our smaller clients)
  • Involvement in new business; researching, helping draft proposals and responses – as part of the pitch team
  • Being the best possible representative of Earnest, encouraging clients to do the most interesting and effective work they can
  • Working as a team player in the agency and getting involved wherever needed

About you

  • At least 3–4 years’ experience at Client Manager/Senior Client Manager level, of managing multiple projects, from either a digital, B2B or integrated agency
  • A client-centric approach to consulting with clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An appreciation for great creative work as well as a passion for marketing and social media
  • A willingness to work hard and go the extra mile
  • To be enthusiastic, creative with a great sense of humour
